Amen to that! 12.8's on stock tires with x pipe cai and tune for the win. All day in any conditions is possible. I mean why would you doubt that?

If your car can measure your speed across the pavement, and the speed the wheels are turning, it can keep your available power within programmed limits. It wouldn't even need to know anything about the car; rubber compound, tire size, road conditions, etc. I wouldn't be suprised if the ideal combo down the road is automatics with traction control.

Just keep the wheels spinnin no faster than the pavement passing by the sensor.
lol@unboobies.

You are far better off at turning the T/C off and practicing your launches in our Stangs. The T/C was meant as an aid to prevent loss of vehicle control due to wheelspin.

There are definitely better systems out there, such as in the Vette's. But for me 1/2 the fun in racing is me learning how to drive my car, not having a computer control everything while I just hold the wheel and floor it.
