my spare & wife's car?

Coming home from work tonight my wife had a blow out on the highway. A passer by offered to help, and between the two of them they changed it to the donut spare. Before she got home, the spare blew out too. She pulled into a service station and despite the fact that it was after close, the menchanic tried to help. However, he could not get one of their tires to fit (both the full size and the spare are FUBAR). Tomorrow mornning I want to go get her car, take it up to Discount tire and have all 4 replaced. I don't want to tow it, or but one tire if I don't have to. Both cars have the 5 bolt pattern. Will mine fit? She has an 03' W8 Passat...

no. the bolt patterns are different.

your best bet is to call the shop and ask the tire size of the good tires and pick up a spare and bring it with you.

Thanks. We ended up getting a free tow to DT. The hardest part was letting my wife take my mustang to work. I just recently taught her how to drive stick, and she's never taken my car anywhere...
