A few shops I have talked to said that the KB and Whipple put out about the same amount of power but with the Whipple the car runs a little cooler.

05_Mustang_KB_Charged - obvious
1LOUDGT - paxton

those are all I can think of off the top of my head.

The only other blowers that ihave given thought to is the saleen, paxton. To me the paxton is cheaper, comes wiyh an ic and now that they have the self contained one i started to consider it even more. Not just that but if something goes wrong a couple of bolts of with it.

I would recommend the intercooled kit, just for the fact of running the extra boost if you want

well with me, I went with the whipple for many reasons.

I like power! I like reliability. The kit comes with the Ford Racing name, not just whipple. When I take it to the dealer, they think nothing of it. I've had a dealer tech think my car was a shelby. LOL

but overall, it is a true complete intercooled reliable kit. when I say complete, its complete. it gives you things you wouldn't get from a paxton or a KB, etc. you get the blower, the intercooler, the ford racing zero degree spark plugs, 160 thermostat, shelby GT500 fuel pump (best fuel pump to have) and the list can go on and you get a CONSERVATIVE ford racing tune that puts down an astonishing 475RWHP, and with this conservative tune, I dont have to worry about my internals failing. that was a big plus! I did heavy and extensive research on all the kits before I bought the whipple. when it came down to the wire, it was between whipple, saleen and KB. KB fell off my list after the problems KB owners were having and pretty much the installation of parts that I was not too fond of. and few were blowing their bottom ends with the tune provided by KB. the KB tunes were soooo aggressive on 6-8PSI, it was nuts. I steered clear of that. I'm sure by now, KB has corrected that problem. then I moved towards the saleen. the saleen was a great kit, and I was going to go with a performance shops stage 2 kit that put me around 450RWHP @ 6psi. but come to find out, no matter where I went, everyone had that same kit by the same shop here in jersey. kinda felt like a copy cat. but with me I wanted to be unique and different. so i looked at the whipple. you get all the parts, very easy install, everything labeled with part#s, packaged and ready to go, excellent installation instructions with many pictures. that got my vote! ever since then, I never looked back, I still have been pleased to this day with the whipple and recommend it to anyone!

I think Whipple is the way to go if your thinking roots type. If you like the idea of centrifical I would look at a procharger, I have been taken for rides in both style superchargers and they both rock. Its just about you and your budget. Both are pretty pricy, but remeber you get what you pay for.

i would agree with HMUSN twin screw, im getting a kb or saleen charger for my GT by the upcoming summer, not that i have anything against whipple, but no matter what you decide to get definitely get an I/C just for insurance and so later on down the road you can crank up the boost

Arent all twin screw roots type? Some clearification here... To my understanding a roots type supercharger replaces the upper intake. So the whipple would be a roots type, correct? I understand the concept behind the twin screw cause I had a Kenne Bell on my 91. Somewhere I got filpped about...
