Lakewood Industries SUCK!!!

Along with my tires and Steeda billet shorty antena arriving so did my lakewood industried DS safety loop. Well for a part that is made just for our stangs I'm having to do a lot of modifying to get this thing to work. Its a shame how bad the fit is on this thing. I figured I could get it in in less than an hour, well I'm having to drill a complete new set of holes, grind out some of the existing holes, by the time I'm done this thing might as well have been a universal kit with as much as there is to be done. Just beware, I ordered this knowing it was a piece made for those of us running one piece DS's, I might have been better off just getting the front part for the two piece shafts.

I know considering I'll be installing their drag pack along with a plethora of other suspension parts as soon as they get here.

I thought so too when I first saw it but now I love it. I've seen others that have been lowered with different springs and it just didnt give it the attitude I was looking for when I did mine.

That is pretty low, but if you think that is low...

I like the looks of a lowered car, but man it sucks when it comes to pulling out of parking lots and into driveways, it may just be my chin spoiler though...

HA, I'm actually from central FL, Arcadia that is. But on another note I just finished the install on that loop and I'm fairly experienced with modding my car everything thats been done to it I've done myself, it took probly a total of 4 1/2 hours after drilling out all new holes and shimming. It fits great now and is a solid chunk of metal, probly weighs about 20 lbs total, but it wasnt worth the hassle. Just all you keep this install in mind when it comes time for you to purchase youe safety loops.
