Hand held tuner settings

I got a SCT Live wire and have been fiddling with the tune daily. I got a custom tune with it but since have added a bassani exhaust, gears and shifter etc. and I thought the tune they set me up with was weak anyway. Should I advance the spark? There are 3 adjustments, should they all be set uniformly? maybe stagger them? you know +4, -6, 0? WOT richer, leaner? should I even dink with the O2's, on or off? And what the f... is a CMCV delete? Go ahead and laugh (I would) but I'm sure I am not the only one with this predicament. At least i hope not.

If you haven't done any EFI tuning before, I'd definitely get with someone who has so you don't break stuff...can you datalog with that tuner?

yeah it has datalog capabilities. The adjustment range appears to rather subtle but i want to get the best performance tune possible using this tuner.

If you want the best tune possible go with the Bama race tune or a custom dyno tune. And delete plates remove restriction in the intake path. They have been proven to make 10+ rwhp.

You don't lose any midrange pull by taking them off? Makes me wonder why ford didn't just use those to control the air into the engine instead of putting a throttle body on as well...

From what i gather in this and all the other forums the dyno doctor is almost mandatory once you move more air through the car. Trying to tune from the seat of your pants is not only frustrating but could be possibly detrimental to the health of the car. Spoke to Danny Swanson at Swansons Performance in Torrance. Seems he has a good rep and knows his shit. Thanks

they aid in the fuel economy of the car, and also help low end torque but hurt horsepower at the top end

i junked mine as soon as i bought the car
