US Nationals in Indy

Forgot to post up a few photos. I was down in 1Fastfox's neck of the woods (didn't meet up, he had a wedding - maybe next time) and caught a few awesome shots of the US Nationals NHRA event. Probably got some 200 photos. Just gonna put up a few. The pro stock GT500 in this first photo is actually powered by a chevy. If you ever want to get frustrated in photography, try catching cars at 300+ mph..

Hey, I wasnt at a wedding I was kayaking on the ocoee and chioha rivers in North Carolina. I could have backed out of a wedding to come over and watch the races and visit with you. But when you have over $300 in deposits already paid on a weekend, that makes it a little more difficult...

That explains the quality. I'm happy with my camera. its a 6mp Kodak. It takes good pictures for the $300 I paid for it.

Actually, the camera body isn't as important as the lens' you use. I got perfectly good pics with my digital rebel, which is canons bottom end digital slr. The right glass on a low end body can make a sub par photographer look very good.

The xti body is a very nice camera. So it did help a little, but a big factor is the 70-200mm F 2.8 lens I was using.

Oh my bad, I had conversation with someone I was supposed to meet that weekend, maybe from CMC, and he had a wedding. Mixed you guys up.
