Ring and pinion gear question


I know a guy selling a set 4:10 ford racing gears, part number M4209G410M. I took a look at them and they look like they are chrome or highly polished. The edges aren't very sharp like other gears I've seen before. However they don't look like they are used to me, he insists they've never been out of the box.
Have you guys ever seen chrome or polished gears from Ford Racing before?

the "M" on the end of the part number means they are manufactured by Motive not Ford. Read through the thread posted above it explains more about it. Emay goes into dept on the topic. I would look for some genuine Ford ones...
