tinting front turn signals and thrid brake light


I want to tint the front turn signals and third brake light with cling on tint. first off, is this illegal? i live in texas. also, what percent tint should i use?

You can order tinted headlight covers for your headlights from stage3motorsports.

I also believe there is a company that sells tinted covers for the fog lights as well. I can search for it if you are interested.

the tint is uv reactive therefore not affecting the lights at all when they are on

i call BS...
Any amount of tint will react with the lights.
Mine do, but not as bad as the dark covers.
Are you talking about like the transitions lenses?
they would react with the light from the headlights, and darken as well.
not to mention be hella expensive

Theres 2 options for all the lights. Black out tints and smoked tints, if im just doing it for 3rd break light and turn signals which should i get? and whats the difference?

To find out if they are illegal just call your local highway patrol. The laws vary from state to state.

Smoked are not as dark as black and a little more transparent.

PS That's a sharp looking car Modern_Muscle.

technically, its not a cover, therefore, could have been put on at the factory/dealership.
had no problems with cops from mine, actually gotten compliments

my friends got his taillights 3rd brake light headlights and fogs tinted on his saleen and i live in houston and he gets more compliments than problems from the cops

well after a few days im gonna say no to the headlight tint, i cant see shit...the tails look great, as do the turns and vanitys, but the heads are super dark,foggy blech... to bad though as it really does look good

There is a shelby GT, and a Shelby GT500...
Someone has to continue the cobra tradition

and its going along with my gt350 striping that was on the car when I got it, trying to get the old school shelby gt350 cobra look.

might not be your cup of tea...
