Forged Internals
I'm planning on getting forged internals for my '07 GT and was wondering what my max horsepower would be with them installed. I know that stock the engines max is about 460 hp and with the internals I would hope a lot more. How much more is the question.

Its really depends what your desire is.There are different levels you can go with. Are you just doing the pistons /Pistons/rods ,crank etc ? What kind of power adder are you doing ? What kind of C/R are you looking for ?
You can design it to handle 500rwhp with no sweat,or you can aim for 800hp. Then you have to take into consideration what the rest of the car can handle. What good is 800hp on stock tires ? How well is the tranny gonna hold up ? Will you be supplying enough fuel to the new set-up ? You gotta upgrade your injectors if you gonna get crazy. Then you gotta tune it all. etc etc etc Theres a guy here who is having (or had) some work done ,and he would be good to talk to.......Vabeachmustang.......he has a nice set-up. Give him a ring and let him know what your plans are.

Right now my plans are to kill any new camaro that pulls up next to me and thinks he is hot stuff cuz of the car he just bought. I am hoping to be running around 500-600 hp.

You can kill the new camaro's with 400rwhp. It's all in the powerband and how well you put the power down.

Steeda has a forged internal set for $2600 that is rated to 1000+ hp. It includes crank, pistons, rods, rings, bearings, and the necessary bolts. What do you think?

Ive never personally heard anyone talk about Steeda internals??
Diamond,Manley ,Probe,Mahle are all popular and respected brands. Check out VT Engines. Give em a call and tell them about your plans. Ask for Scott. I have dealt with them before ,and he is a great guy. I know many people who have done business with them and had great things to say. VT Engines
