the MGW is a great shifter.

so are all the others though.

I have tried both the Steeda and the MGW personally and I prefer the MGW

Not yet, I'll get the first one to try out. George is unsure of the market as most people buying the Shelby wont mod it.

I was supplied with a sheet of dynamat along with the shifter and my mechnics used all of it. Is that enough or do i need more of it to secure the noise? is the noise normal ? the noise was never there when i had the stock shifter. My mechnics asked me to get some more Dynamat or foam? should i point out any place inperticular where he should put the foam or dynamat?

Noise usually increases at shifting down higher revs.

Sorry for all the questions, noise is driving me nuts...Any help would be appreciated.

You should give it a few miles for it to break in. @ first the shifter will be hard and you may grind a few gears, but after a while, it becomes smoother

also the poly bushings are going to be a tad bit louder than the stockers.

+1 it will take a couple weeks to get the stiffness out

Thanks Boys....Yeah just getting used to shifting. Its alota fun. But what about that Whining noise comming from the shifte when upshiting, especially when down shifting at hgh revs......funny how you hardly hear the whine after a long drive ?

Any pointers on this noise....all in all...love the shifter...tried a few and this one rules all !

well it has been dynamatted as the package came with a sheet of Dynamat.

But i think it needs more Dynamat ?

My mechnic installed it, he told me to either get more foam or Dynamat....I mean isnt the given one sheet of Dynamat Enough to keep the whining noise blocked ?

An article I read in I think MM&FF on a Roush 427R that had the Roush shifter said it was incredibly difficult to powershift with.

I have read nothing but great things about the MGW, and if you even just look at the unit it appears to be a superior unit.
