Car Covers

Hey y'all,

Not being blessed with 500k for a house out here, and subsequently no garage, I use a car cover for my baby. However, the one I have pretty much sucketh. So, any experience/views/opinions on a good car cover?

believe it or not, just a regular tarp will work wonders.. keeps the water out too unlike most of them

but if i were you, i'd shell out the money an go ahead and buy an awning for your car.. TheUnzippee! has one that he puts his car in in the winter.. IMO i think it would be well worth the extra money

Yeah, well, I have a parking space just a touch bigger than the car so one of those shed/bubbles would be great but wouldn't fit. (I already considered it).

I'll look into the calcarcover though...

believe it or not, the car cover from FORD is actually a great cover. as long as you get the all weather cover, your golden. I've used it ever since I got the car, in all types of weather (rain, snow). works great!

Heads up on the tent shelters... I put mine under a brand new one last October and one of our typical Oregon blustery days leaned it into the side of my car and scratched through to bare metal in a couple of spots.

Actually after the storm I kicked my wife's car out of the garage and put mine back. Besides, you have a steel pole rub along side your car long enough it will wear through the paint regardless of the cover that's used imo.
