Going back to the shop next week

I have a oil leak from the exhaust side of my turbo
The turbo is to be sent back for replacement.
In the mean time I am going to have a different limited slip installed because my stock one is making some noise as in breaking loose.
I would like to here from people that have first hand experience with limited slips. ie alburn or e tec ect.ect.
I have owned an Ox locker and a Detroit.
I don't want either of these. But am interested in getting something strong enough to handle 550 rwhp.
Also do you all think I should do axles and c clip eliminators

I'm going with Eaton's Detroit True Track. If it will hold up to the GT500's weight and power, it's got to be tough. The 2 - 9 sec. GT500's I know of are running these.

Summit has them but check out the directory on the link I posted. If you find a better deal than Summit, let us know..

I know a guy at Randy's ring and pinion
They recommend this at $473.03 with new bearings.
The unit you are talkin about is 10 dollars less

I've never heard of Yukon Gear. Summit has the DTT for 450 with out bearings.

If the guy you know is a Dealer and will give you a deal along with a warranty then I say why not? He knows the quality and will back it up!

Ive used just about every gear and locker brand out there. Yukon is really good, thats what we use to recommend to Diesel guys with big lifts and that wanted lockers. ARB makes an air locker that is top notch....I dont know if they make one for our mustangs but if they did that would be awesome.

for those of you who dont know, Air lockers work like electric door locks, They have an electric air compressor that builds up pressure and engages the lockers. they would be good for a street strip aplication becuase you can turn them off and still make tight low speed turn with out the tire chirping.

An eaton e locker would be better because there doen't have to be air lines or a tank/compressor. And I would think that any locker or LSD for a ford 8.8 would work.

I know this is apples & oranges but I just had a Yukon limited slip installed in my 4x4 along with the new 4:56 gears - works like a charm and is quiet.
