Pulley Swap
New guy here. I have a 2007 GT and keep hearing about changing the pulleys. Can someone tell me the purpose of doing so? Is this of any benefit?

you get about 10hp from changing the underdrive pullies. I think it makes everything more efficiant. Don't get them if you plan on running a big stereo system or if you plan on getting a supercharger.

Welcome to the site.
It slows down your accessories (ac compressor, alternator, ect) and reduces parasitic drag on the engine. They are worth about 10 hp. I would go with Steeda. They are $200 I think.

They simply reduce some of the parasitic loss. Only good for about 10Hp. I noticed my AC didn't run as cold after I put them on, but nothing too bad.

+1 ... Even with the dreadfully long and hot summer we just finished, my AC would just about freeze me out after a few minutes. No negatives noted w/ respect to the UDPs, but she revs faster, pulls through the RPM ranger a little faster, and MPG went up. Overall, it's a good, easy, worthwhile mod.
