Yea and the frpp stingers are the gt5s not the gta's. The xpipe will make it raspy.

Yes x pipes are a no no with mufflers like Borla and Flowmaster, but it pair up nicely with my Bassani axle back.

I am very happy with my GTA axelbacks. I have stock pipe from the axels forward and love the fact that i have great chambered muffler sound with none of the drone or raspy "dry cough" sound I sense from more obnoxious exhaust configurations.

The GTA's on my 2007 s-197 snarl on acceleration and gurgle on downthrottle.

Highly recommended!

John

When i changed my axlebacks it just changed the sound. It didn't really change the loudness of it. When i changed my mid pipe it made it a lot louder. Being that the axlebacks don't really add HP, you should go with an O/R mid pipe. You can get one for under $175 from brenspeed.

I don't like my x-pipe so I will have to build a custom H as they don't make one for the GT500 and Kooks LT's. My 05' GT sounds better than my GT500.
