Hood Choice

Can anyone tell me the best type of hood for an 07 Mustang Gt. I of course have the stack hood which I believe weighs only 26lbs. I have been looking at hoods forom an apearance stand point and I like the look Trufiber GTS hood http://alliance247.com/product.php?p...db13ed568bf055 , which weighs more. The hood is a functional ram air type with rear vents. I read something in a forum on a different site that made me question this hood with a SC application. We used to go to all length to get more air under the hood no matter where it entered but then the air filter was on top of the carb. At this time I do not have the SC but hopefully will early 2008, I have an Airraid CIA and Poweraid spacer, no tuner yet. Still seems logical to me that if the engine compartment flows more air it will be cooler, making the air pulled into the engine cooler, making more power.
Can anyone help me out with this.

Cervini's or Steeda 2.5" cowl hood FTW.

We have compared TruFiber to many leading companies and they have OEM or better quality.

The GT-S Ram Air Hood from Trufiber is the exact same hood we are installing on our 2007 SC GT, good choice.

If you want a quote on the hoood + paint feel free to pm me.

Thanks!

Steeda Race cowl hood. It is lighter in weight and is functional. It increases air flow under the hood which keeps engine bay temps lower. This is the hood I plan on.

Thanks for your comments but,
mrbodykit.com is $1.00 cheaper, besides I found it for less
I do not like cowl hoods.
I do actually like that this hood has the rear vents. Logically if you bring more air in from the front of the engine compartmert it must have some where to go and the rear vents will facilitate that.
Paint will cost about the same no matter what hood I put on unless I leave the stock one and put a fake scoop, NOT HAPPENING

hardcoremustangs you seem to have a good grasp and if we were closer I would consider getting a quote but I will get someone local to paint the hood and add the striping.

There are more hoods out there that have the louvers that dont have a scoop the size of the whole hood.

I know. I think I like the steeda one better. The edges aren't as sharp if that makes sense.

I don't want to look like just another mustang so I want unique.
I also considered this hood. It is carbon fiber and actually weighs only 23lbs.
