Engine question


I have been wanting a 07 Roush stage 3 mustang... I'm going to build it from stock, but i was wondering if this engine would be a good choice, this will be a street car but i will go to the strip and i know you guys are the best to come to with these questions

Get a 330cu Ford Navigator motor and forge it. Might be cheaper than putting down over 7 grand for that gas guzzler

yes


Get a 330cu Ford Navigator motor and forge it. Might be cheaper than putting down over 7 grand for that gas guzzler

the navigators had 32 valve heads, fox body guys like to get a hold of them and build them up and add a poweradder to them

Just build up a 5.4 if you want a big motor. You could get way more hp out of that 5.4 cheaper than that 460, plus that thing weighs a ton.

the navigator engine is the same one as the ford GT isn't it?

No problem. You could also have the 5.4 bored out to a 351. And Juco, it isn't the same. The Ford GT is an all aluminum dry sump oiling system 5.4. The Navi motor is iron.

If you're just wanting to turn it into a stage 3, you don't need a new motor. Just get a supercharger Roush supercharger. That's all it takes power wise.

With the correct internals and tubos up to 1000+ hp. But NA I would say about 425-500.

No problem. I think in the October issue of MM&FF the built a TT 5.4 that made like 1004 chp

Roush S/C's are one of the worst S/C's for our rides...go for whipple, KB, or Saleen...you will see much better results
