sct installer

hey just got my jlt cai and tuner (sct x3) it came with instructions on how to install jlt but not x3. it says to refer to the site, i cant find it anywhere on the site. If someone could please send me a link im very eager. Plus the installer for the usb file wont open is it not compatible with a mac? thank you!

do you already have tunes on your Xcal?

you dont need any instructions to install the xcal 3. it's very easy. with your car off, plug your xcal in(under the steering wheel) and select the tune you want to upload. the tuner will tell you what to do.

All you have to do is plug the tuner into the OBDII port under the dash on the drivers side and follow the on screen instructions.

Hey try following this. I got it from the Brenspeed website. It says its fro the xcal 2 but I think it should be the same process. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps.

HELP! i finally figured it out< now installing the cai theres a specail tool to dismount the wire from the air intake bodey? i dont have that tool and im mid instalation? any help

You don't need a special tool

I dont think there are any wires involved...if you mean the pcv hose all you have to do is slide the tab on the green connector. If you mean the maf sensor, just slide the red tab out and pull.

ok i got the star key but now the pcv slid off and what do i do with it? theres a black long tube that came with the jlt kit but it dosnt really fit into it snugly its allowing air to get out?

doesn't your kit come with directions? The pcv tube that came with it will fit snug.

yeah thanks! everyhting finaly went well! installed the cai! then i get ready to upload a tune. I plug the tuner in SCt xcal 3 from bama. and i go to custom tunes, then 93 race jlt... says would u like to adjust and i say no then it goes upload and i say yes and it says "Error can not upload file"? and it says the same for all three tunes.... does tis mean i cant drive car untill its fixed? how do i fix this!? THanks

Did you follow the steps from Brenspeed that I provided. Maybe there's something your small that your not doing

yeah i did exacly, the pre-programed tunes even installed. i think maybe the customs tunes are corrupted? i dnot know but theres a a jlt cai in my car and i cant drive it if its not tuned?

Call Branspeed and ask em what up with their tunes. If you have to drive the car just put the stock intake back on.

1.) make sure you flash the car back to stock.

2.) unplug the battery for 20 min, allow the computer to reset.

3.) plug the tuner back into the port.

4.) reupload the tune

try that.

ok, i got into contact with daug and he sent me 2 emails. One with the software and a second with the 3 tunes. Now i downloaded the software and then it tell me to plug in my tuner by holding cancell so that only the light ilumintates. This goes great! untill the computer reconizes the device and can not find the proper drivers to download it? now im stuck! does anyone know what to do from here? thank you
