Not understanding the whine part. If it's a whistle, you could have a loose connection and some air is getting through. Car running ok??

when I had my BBK TB, Spacer, and CAI, I had an almost turbo whine.
What you are hearing is the air sucking through the filter, and being forced through the Throttle Body. Its totally normal.
I just sold the BBK
It was only good on the track, turned out to be trash on the street.
but trackwise, it was great. Just needed the money

my rpms would not stay constant, it hung a lot, occasionally revved up randomly, even sitting at a light, with it under load (first, to keep it from rolling), and I even calibrated it exactly to stock!
its just a pain, but its manageable.
maybe terrible wasnt the right word, but i had to put it into a highgear, and gently let the clutch out to drop the rpms while sitting still too many times, and then it would kick back up, and occasionally raise revs slowly from 1500-3000, without my doing it.

I had the same issue as you man, I had the K&N first then did the throttle body. I eventually got rid of the K&N and went with BBK's CAI and its a significantly better piece visually and performance and it fits perfectly to the larger diameter of the bigger T/B. I know dumpin a couple hundred bucks on a new intake isnt what you want to do, its worth it in the long run man.
