what happens is they will ask for your mods, list them all (drivetrain and tire height/gear changes), then pick your tunes based on the octane available in your area. Like with Bama, you get choices between race, torque, and performance, in 87 89 92 and 93 octane tunes....
race is a full top and bottom end tune, theoretically combining the performance and torque tunes
torque is a low end performance tune with not as much top end as the performance tune
Performance is a top end performer with not as much low end as the torque tune
its your choice man, torque is supposed to be more fun daily driving, and race has worse gas mileage, but full rpm band performance.

I havent personally tried brenspeed, brenspeed has better customer service, as bama is a one man operation.
brenspeed is xcal only, and bama is xcal and diablo(predator) friendly

I ordered a jlt cai and xcal2 from brenspeed about a week ago. I did it over the phone, and all they need is your vehicle info, mods, gear ratio, and the code from your processor. They typically then set you up with 89, 91 and 93 octane tunes, with 93 being basically like bamas "race" tune. I found that brenspeeds service was excellent, and I've only tried the 91 tune because i still had 91 octane in the tank and it made one helluva difference. I would definately recommend brenspeed, but I dont think you can go wrong with bama either. Just heard its really hard to get ahold of bama when u need something.

You will be better off wth brenspeed or dynospeed tuner and tunes compared to BAMA, brenspeed and dynospeed actually build some of the fastest cars made on the streets and strips and their service is better than Bama.

got the email from brenspeed and they said my tune should be done by monday and takes 2 days to ship so basically wednesday or thursday of next week ill be getting it....i have 87 in the tank now but im at 1/4 tank. Should i fill up with 93 on friday when im on E just so i have it in my tank for my tune?? Will this hurt anything cuz i know if you run a different grade that isn't for your car it can screw things up..

I don't think anything will go wrong if you change fuel grades as long as you put the proper tune in. But I could be wrong.

it really doesn't matter where you get your tunes from... they are all pre-made tunes from SCT anyways. All any aftermarket company does is type in what mods you've done and PRESTO CHANGE-O There is your "custom" tune.
