2005 Seat belt problem

This is problem #6 in less than 20 months! These 2005 GT's are like hot girls with herpes. Just dropped it by the dealer last week to get the lever on the upper part of the passenger seat replaced (it came off in my daughter's hand)... Last night I go to the gas station. On the way, my seat belt icon flashes and the chime starts dinging. I'm thinking what the hell? So I try to disconnect the belt and redo it. Guess what? My seat belt wouldn't release. At all. When I get to the gas station (where 6 other people are pumping their gas), I try again. NOPE. So I have to crawl out of the seat belt like a circus performer. Man was I pissed. So I get home and try again. NOPE! After 30 minutes of cooling down, I went out and gently tried again. NOPE! So I just beat that thing like it stole my money and VOILA, it came unbuckled. This has happened to other stang owners on other forums.

Anyone experienced this? (I didn't see any TSB's on it.) If it happens to you (or someone you know), tell them to beat it like a rented mule. I've already had a new rear glass installed b/c the rear defrosters didn't work. Already had the E-brake cable replaced b/c the frigid eastern NC winter was too much for it. The trim is very loose in several places inside the car and in the trunk. The light inside the trunk will periodically dangle freely and have to be pushed in like a prolapsed uterus. On long cruises, it wants to cut out when you hit the off ramp. I know there's a TSB on this but what is the dealer gonna do but say, sorry bro? If I hadn't already modded this car and fallen in love with it, I'd drive it in the river. (Oh yeah, the damn river is gone from the drought.)

Okay, I'm done! It's still one bad ass car, and I'll keep it. I just hope it doesn't catch on fire the next time the seat belt decides to trap my ass in.

Ever seen that Stephen King movie "Christine"?

Okay, I'm really done. Any thoughts? Similar problems?

In the words of Napoleon... LUCKY!

Maybe the next time I take Ellie in for one of her ailments, I'll see if the dealer'll rent me a mule

no seat belt, but at this rate, I'm not surprised if it happens to me, already had the levers replaced, my defroster is dead and still hasn't been fixed, my trunk lock remote release got fucked.

good luck to ya.

Mule rental... $39 a day.
Men's size 16 rubber boots... $26
Having extra foot room to put the mule's back legs in... PRICELESS

I guess I'm lucky. 19k miles later and the only problem has been the rear seat knob

And now everything becomes clear... I was wondering why the last girl I took out started squirming and climbed through the seat belt and took off running, she prob thought I was going to abduct her, but then agian if I was going to hold a girl agianst her will I doubt I would use a convertible...

I've become used to it... since I'm usually putting all my concentration on my pedal work whenever I punch it... Heel toe FTW!
