You take it to the stealership for normal maintenance?

I just take mine to Advance Auto... if I take my car to the dealership its for waranty, and I have a short throw on mine and they didn't say anything about it when I reclaimed the waranty to fix my trunk lock

I don't have it right now, but I will be changing from castrol syntec to mobil 1 synthetic because it's $6 cheaper at my walmart. It's only $24.

yes you will be fine. a mod can only void the warranty if it was the actual cause of what went wrong with the car.

They shouldn't even look into what tune you have unless you have a warranty issue. I would hang around the car though because I've heard of cases when they flash the car's computer to check for any issues and accidently put the original GT tune on it.

I've only heard of that happening once but it happened to a Roush guy who lost his Roush tune for the supercharger and his car was down for 2 day while they got the correct tune back from Roush. Just be advised.

I always take my car to the dealership for services until the warranty runs out. That way if they discover something needs attention they can fix it, an my dealership only charges me 20 bucks for the oil change, since I supply the Mobil 1 synthetic & a filter.

conhead, some guys will try and tell you that you should put the factory tune back in before going in for service. There is no point in doing so, as they can simply read the history of changes to the pcm if they so desire. Once you have altered the factory tune, you are entering in to a gray area with warranty issues. If something gets covered will depend greatly on if the part in need of service was deemed to be affected by your modification, and by your service manager.

It pays to have a great service manager and bring him a coffee when you see him. :wink

damn zip you are getting ripped. 20 bucks and you provide the oil and filter. mine was 13 bucks and that was just with me providing the oil. guess it's a bit pricey up there.

Yeah everything is more expensive up here dude. Hell, the car cost me 37 grand, PLUS 5200 sales tax. lol

20 bucks is nothing to me. Shit, it costs that for a cup of coffee and a donut up here. (almost) lol

i would tune it back to stock, brought my car in for oil change and they plugged there calibration machine in and !!!!BAM!!!! no more Kenne Bell tune, took me a week to get another one because i had to send them the tuner and they had to reflash the tuner because it was still loaded with my factory tune, and then reflash the supercharger tune back on it

if you leave your tune in and they reflash it, you will have to send the tuner back to get unlocked from your car, last time i checked SCT was charging $100 to do it

if you do bring it just let them know not to reflash the pcm, which they usually do as part of the warranty process to keep updated files on your pcm
