loud drivetrain noise...

I have tried to educate myself on this, and i have really came up with nothing. but it has got a lot louder in the past few months. i have a 07 gt 5 speed with 18xxx on it. the sound is a whinning noise it seems to be coming from the trans. the noise starts in first gear through third gear at about 1800 RPMs and then gets louder from there all the way up to 4000 RPMs. Im going to be taking it into ford, but i just wanted to know if the noise is normal for the manual cars. thank you.

You sure it's not coming from the diff? There is a technical service bulletin out on that. Ask them about it. Had it done on mine.
