Welcome to the forums and congrats on the beautiful stang...Most people like to start with a few basic bolt-ons. Usually axle-back exhaust, cold air intake/tuner combo (very recommended with these cars). What kind of power are you looking for and what type of budget do you have? Let us know and we can make better recommendations for ya

Welcome to the forums!

Post up some pics of her.

I would reccomend your first mod being an intake and tuner combo like these:

BamaChips
Click
Click

Brenspeed
Click

There are many different choices for exhaust. Here are some of my favorites:

Long Tube Headers, catless X-Pipe, and Magnaflow Magnapacks

Long Tube Headers, catless Mac Prochamber, and Borla Stinger axle backs.
Listen
Listen

Stock manifolds, Bassani catted x-pipe, Bassani SS axle backs (this is what I run on my car, and my car is in the video) it is much deeper in person, the video does it no justice.

This is the Bassani Race axle backs, paired with LT headers and an offroad h pipe.

The Borla axle backs also sound good when paired with an o/r h pipe.

Yes start off with a good cold air intake and a tuner with custom tunes. I used Bamachips and am running their 93 octane race tune with an Airaid intake.

Exhaust is a tough one, and is personal taste. Listen to a lot of clips to make your mind up. There is a small clip of me fooling around you can hear by clicking the blue link under my signature.

How far do you want to go, and how deep is your wallet? After the basic intake/tune/axle-backs, I would then look at things like:

-Long tube headers
-X pipe, H pipe, or Mac Prochamber
-Underdrive Pulleys
-Aluminum driveshaft (our factory units weigh 40 lbs. Aluminum, 19. 20 lb. reduction in rotating mass = about 10 horse @ the wheels)
-MGW shifter
-Cams
-4.10 gears
-Suspension work.. lowered for handling, or beefed up for drag?
-Forced induction. Again, how deep is your wallet?

Ok next question just came to mind, NOS and Turbo question...
If I put a 75-150hp nos kit on the car how rough is that gonna be on the engine? Or a Turbo for that matter? Am I looking at needing to beef the engine to with stand the extra horse? New pistons, rings etc?? Or will it be able to handle that just fine? For me the best way to go would be with the bolt on's and nos, seeing as i wont need the extra horse all the time just when i run into a racer...

id start with Full exhaust (Headers, mid pipe, axle backs), JLT CAI, and a tuner because that doesn't sound like much but that gives you a good boost. Then hit up a Kenne Bell if that isn't satisfying enough....

Then go the suspension route and dial that in

the car can handle up to a 120 shot of nitrous before you have to change out the bottom end. and turbo the car can handle up to about 500whp before you starts getting engine problems. if it was me i wou;dnt go over 470whp just to keep it safe. its really all in the "Tune" you get for either the nitrous or turbo, a good enough tune will keep your care safe.

If you've got the fuel system (injectors, pump, tune) to support the juice, you'll be fine up to about 450-500 whp.

When you say up to 120 shot do u mean a boost of 120hp or 120 shots of nos?

The Only Turbo I can seem to find is the Turbonetics [tc-15168] $4,995.95
Can anyone find any other TURBOS or maybe a lower price on this one?

Im still looking at this like

5000.00$ for tubo = 150hp - 175hp
700.00$ for Nos = 75hp - 150hp

The math tells me nos but my mind tells me tubo..
Any More Suggestions out there???

I vote nitrous express!

In about a month or so my friend and I are about to pick up their 3v plate kit with purge and window switch - then definately head over to the dyno to make sure the tune is safe with the 100rwhp shot we're gonna run

If it were my car I wouldn't run more than a 100 shot or 450rwhp on boost. I would choose turbo though. The boost is there all the time. Regency2007 has the Helion turbo kit on his car. If you have any questions he is the one to talk to.
