Need help choosing tires and wheels!

Ok i plan on getting the Black w/ polished lip billet wheels in the next 2 weeks and im having trouble with wheel sizes and which tires to use. For the front i want to get 17x8 or 17x9 with a good street tire. For the back i want the 17x10.5 deep dish and I plan on putting a Nitto drag radial on there like the 555r or using street tires. I could use my stock 17x8 wheels for slicks/drag radials. Any opinions on what i should do for tire size etc.? Also will the wider rim make the car slower or no?

Thanks!

You know where i cacn get the cheapest price? So far for the nitto tires mentioned above and the rims it comes out to about $1200. I am looking at the tires on www.discounttiredirect.com. And the rims are on www.wheelHQ.com

Why stick with the stock 17's? You should at least get an 18.

that is probably the cheapest you will find tires, and 17" tires are the cheapest if you go 18" will cost somemore money

There isn't much of a differance in tire price between 17's-20's.

Well your right I was thinking about it, but im trying to keep the cost low since im a broke college student and the tires are cheaper for 17's when i need them. I dont maybe ill get an 18. I was just looking and i cant find a non-deep dish wheel in 18x9 for the front.

I know 20 inch nitto's at discount tire are only $150, so i would think that 18's would be even cheaper. Don't choose your rims and tires by price... You will regret it later. I found out the hard way.

+1
i was thinking of getting 18's bc of price, but after thinking about it i didnt want to get the 18's then later think what if i got the 20's, so i just ordered the shelby razors 20's and Falken tires, and hopefully get them in a week or so.

I currently have a set of Bullits taken of a new Shelby GT for sale. I also have a set of Deep Dish Bullits 18x9 18x10 with 275's in back and 255's in front. The deep dish look like this. both sets have less then a thousand miles on them and are in perfect condition. Send me a message if you care

i bought my konig's from www.buywheelsonline.com and saved about $400 compared to one of the major tire/wheels shops. had no issues with them at all.

i have the shelby torque thrust 20"s and their nice they really fill up the wheel well. The only downside is it seems to make my ride suffer a little bit but i'd still say go for the 20's they look realy nice
