Foose Stallion?

Hoping someone will answer for me! I have been reading as much as possible on the Foose designed Stallion. But, I cannot seem to get any first hand info on it! Does anyone out here own one? How do you like it? Anyone have one on order? How much did you pay? How much did the dealer quote you? ANY first hand info would be much appreciated!

Try www.uniqueperformance.com
or phone #: 800.418.4543

I got the following info off of a muscular mustangs forum...see below.

"Paul E. Cavins VP of New Vehicle Programs at Unique Performance got back to me today. Here's what he had to say....

We are currently compiling a list of 75 Ford dealers nationwide to exclusively sell the Stallion Mustang. That list should be finalized and posted on our website in November. Production is scheduled to begin in January of 2006. MSRP should be in the $38-$39k range. Each Stallion Mustang will receive its own unique serial number identifying it as a genuine Foose mustang. Other performance options such as bigger brakes and a supercharger will be available as dealer installed items. No word from FRP regarding pricing on the supercharger as of yet. The base Stallion engine package will consist of a stock 300hp motor coupled with a cold air induction, ECM recal.,and cat back exhaust. This will bring the HP rating to approx 325hp."

Cool! Thanks ahecker! Some of that info is new to me! I have been all over the internet, on www.uniqueperformance.com, and in touch with an authorized dealer. I really just want to be informed, especially on price, before buying the car.
I would still love to hear from anyone who owns a Foose!!

Cooper Ford here in the OKC area is going to be selling them. I have a good friend who is the F&I Manager/Mustang guru for their group. They also carry Roush and Saleens. That is all they generally have on the showroom. They had 2 different GTs at one time.

This is what the dealer is telling me:
If you go with a Foose coupe with an automatic transmission and the interior upgrade package (MyColor option) and the Hot Hues custom stripes the list price would be $45,020. Selling price $43,300 plus tax, title and fees minus any rebates that Ford may have at the time of delivery.

Other options include: Power Pack $695, Chrome wheels $995, and high performance brakes $2,495,

What do you think??? OrangeRcode, can your buddy in OKC give you an idea on what they will be selling theirs for?
Any thoughts/help on this info would be great!!!!

It just sounds a little bit pricey IMHO. I wouldn't get chrome wheels (just dont look rite on stangs) and you'll get really tired of the mycolor option. I didn't get the IUP on my stang, but i have a friend who did and messed with mycolr for like 2 weeks. Just leaves it white now. If you're going to be adding power adders later like forced induction, you'll want the high performance brakes.

Orange is a definite eye catcher. Very nice!

ahecker, thanks again for your reply and opinion! There are 3 Foose Stallions listed on EBay Motors right now. I have been watching them to see how much they end up going for, if at all. I believe 2 of the auctions, listed by the same dealer, will be ending today. There have been no bids on either of those as of right now. He has the starting bids at $42k for the striped one and $45k for the two-tone. I guess I am just not sure how much negotiating I can do with my dealer on this car, or how I would go about it! Got any tips?
I would not get the chrome wheel option, I like the black better anyway. As for the color, orangeRcode from my earlier post, is the screen name of an earlier poster! I would order my Foose in the Performance White with the Volcanic Blast stripe! Check it on www.uniqueperformace.com. They now have all the color options posted on there! Oh, btw, I love the MyColor option on my 05 so I know I won't get sick of it! Probably a chick thing! LOL!
Thanks and any more thoughts and opinions welcomed!!!

Ok, here you go: I just bought a Foose Mustang about a week ago at Power Ford in Scottsdale AZ (the only dealership in AZ that sells them). I ended up getting a 5 spd with none of the extra options (brakes, power pack or supercharger). You can get much better products for far less money away from the dealership. The msrp was like 42k, the had this on some type of sale at the time for 39k, i ended up buying it for 36k and change.
I don't know where you're from, but when i bought mine they did have an automatic, two tone white/silver (very sharp) for about 41-42k if i'm not mistaking. I don't know if that included the power pack, i know it wasn't SCd and i know it didn't have the brakes (just rotors). You might want to check it out if you are that interested - though i don't know where you live - ( they also had a silver with black stripes convertible).
This is the story as i know it about the Foose Stang:
-only select dealerships have them and in very limited numbers.
-if you want to order one you will surely pay top dollar for it
-if you happen to find what you like on the lot you have a much bigger chance at getting a good deal.
-Ford sends a certain amount of Stangs to Unique Performance and it's up to Chip Foose and the gang to decide which one comes out whatever color, package, at/5spd, etc. If you intrfere with that by ordering a specific combination, you will pay more (which might not bother you, but i'm just saying).
-the two tone is more expensive than the rally stripes (most of them are rally striped)
-they always start (or so i'm told) with the premium package GT - which is the one with CC, TCS, dashboard color crap, etc.
-other than the obvious body work (the body kit is always the same) it's still a Mustang GT. It does have FRPP shocks, springs and sways, so it sits a little lower and it is a little stiffer than the GT but considering that they have to warranty all that and still maintain a comfy ride...it's not that different. (i can't wait to redo all my suspension). On top of that you get a nice (not too loud but throaty) sound from an FRPP Gibson exhaust, and the bigger drilled rotors on the brakes, along with all the interior foose logos and leather inserts and stuff.
-as far as the extra options, the brakes are slightly bigger rotors, with Baer (but instead of Baer you get Foose loged) calipers which are still two piston calipers just like the regulars, but a little bigger. That's why if you get a big brake kit that's worth it, you would get like a Wilwood four piston for the same money.(or that's just me)
-the power pack concludes of a FRPP CAI (not necessarily the best ones out there) and a differently tuned ECU. They claim 325 hp on that pack but you tell me any guy on this site that got a real 25 hp increase on a CAI and tune especially that Ford still keeps the tune restrictive.
-and than there is the supercharged one where you also get the charger hood scoop and 425hp from what i understand is a mildly boosted Paxton Novi. Now that i would like, although it still wouldn't justify the extra expense.
When it's all said and done, the Foose Stallion, unlike the Roush or Saleen, is geared more toard styling rather than performance. It has a little something extra in the performance category, but not much. It's the style (which i belive is pattented - i have not seen any body kit that looks even close yet). When i bought mine, i knew i'm buying the name, style, and exclusivity. That's it. From here on out i have a lot of work to do to get my car where i want it to be performance wise (and as we all know the sky's the limit there).
The bluff is that these are going to keep value a little beter because of the limited amount and originality. But since they haven't been around that long, we have yet to find that out.
Ok, my fingers are numb. Hope this helps, good luck with you research and purchase.

I don't quite understand the value of the Foose, it sounds like a GT like mine with a bit more ginger bread, I could do alot of modification for that extra $17,000, like suspention, breaks, turbo, cams, valves, springs, exhaust, and custome paint might add up to 17,000$ but at that point my GT would blow the Stallion out of the water???? Explain please?

The premium Stang GT is about 27-29k depending on where you buy it. I ended up paying 36k for my Foose. So it wasn't an extra 17K for my car but 7-9, say 10k for shits and giggles. So if you consider all the body work alone, and keep in mind all polyurethane pieces (not your reg. fiberglass crap), all the interior trimmings, the exhaust and brake upgrades and suspension work, you would be right around 7k if you were to replicate it and get a good price. You add the Foose name on top of it and it's like buying a house in East LA as opposed to the same house in Beverly Hills. You will pay to get what you like. It's like having a conversation with somebody taking an hour to explain how you have a Cervini body kit, Whipple blower, Steeda suspension, Borla exhaust, etc, etc.....and somebody else comes along and says they have a Shelby GT 500 - no explaining needed...people know what it is.
So it comes down to a fashion statement so to speak. Sometimes you buy what you can afford, other times you buy what makes better sense, and sometimes you buy what you like. I traded in a 2006 350z that had about 10k in upgrades, for the Foose. The Z (compared to the Stang the day i bought it) drove faster, handled MUCH better, was much more reliable, had much better gas mileage and some would say (like my wife) that it looked better. But i liked the Foose and Foose only (never considered Roush, Saleen or Shelby) so i got it so i can do what we all do best: take something nice and make it better.
So...a little overpriced (like a million other things)???? Maybe. But is it worth it???? To some people....

Cool, thats what I was wondering and congratulations on your purchase! I'm having alot of fun with mine, the only problem is my wife, she gets on my case about what I want to do to dress it up and make it my own, The power adders, paint and trim is going to have to come a little at a time for me!
She likes to spend money on what she likes too, damb it, she wants the New Camaro when it (if it) comes out!
Where are your pics? I want to see this Stallion

I actually own two of them. While working in Fresno, CA in June of '07, I spotted a Blue with silver stripes Foose convertible at a dealership and bought it. I paid $53,000.00 base but after an extended warranty having the style bar/roll bar installed and having it shipped home to Maryland, I was out almost 59K. In March of '08 I spotted a White with black stripes supercharged version and also a convertible at Bob Bell Ford in Glen Burnie, Maryland not far from where I live and had to have it. I paid 63,000.00 base but after ext. warranty lojack etc. I was in for 67K. I love them both and will never sell them. They are one of those cars that combine sport, muscle, and class equally and are simply fun to drive. I have never seen another other than the two I own on the road. I see alot of pictures on the web with all the different color schemes but again, have not seen another in the flesh. I have never gone anywhere in either and not had people come up to me and complimenting me on them about how much they like them and ask to take pics or simply giving me a thumbs up at a stoplight. I grew up a die hard camaro fanatic and actually had a sticker on my '92 RS Camaro of Calvin peeing on the ford emblem prior to my purchase of the blue Foose. If you are looking to buy one I promise you will not be dissapointed. They are what you would expect from a Foose vehicle.-----------Mustang Ken

Wow...a 4 year old thread...uniqueperformance.com doesn't even exist any more...but, this of course lends to the exclusivity of these cars...I've seen Roush's and Saleens, shelby GT's, GT500s...but never seen a Foose. Enjoy
