Stang Vs. Stang (1st kill)

So I was driving to the local library to study with some friends, and I noticed a VERY nice S197 GT. Had the roush kit, was black with silver stripes, billit upper and lower grills...was just plain 'ol nice. ANYWAY. I pulled up behind him and did a "hey, what's up" rev (they have those you know

) He replied with a very aggresive rev back. So i was like... "ok. It's on." We got next to each other and after talkin a bit and complimenting each other's stang we went for it.

Round 1- I missed 3rd gear...looked kinda dumb.

Round 2- Truck pulled out...

Round 3- We both launched perfectly from about a...20 mph roll. I think he started in 1st...I was in 2nd due to the 4.10's.

This is where it gets awesome.

So I put it in second, with the clutch still down, I kept the revs steady at about 4-4500, we looked at eachother, did the 3 honks, and at the third honk we both ripped on the clutch, and let me tell you...I think I scared the shit outta him and his brother. My car was much louder and that sucker reared up like there was no tomorrow...NAILED that launch. Was in front all through 2nd (gee...a whole 3 seconds lol) pussy-shifted into 3rd so I didn't miss it again, then jammed it again and beat him by at least a car and a half. He definatly modded his car more than just exterior. Not sure what he had though. I KNOW he atleast had an O/R x-pipe and magnaflows.

But man...it was pretty awesome. 1st kill. Too bad it had to be a brother stang.

I agree, who cares. Except that he beat an S197 so if someone wants to take a swing at him after I finish my beer I'll hold him still!!!

It's ok, I took out a turbo 240 about an hour afterwords. But that story's not as good. I think I beat him by a fender.
