Struts Struts Struts

Newbie here - first time poster so don't beat up on me too hard, lol
I have an '07 GT that has a rattle when go over bumps and up driveways, ect. I found a TSB related to the problem but the dealership doesn't seem to believe it's related to the sound. I have better things to do with my time then screw around with dealership boneheads and would rather replace the struts and caps myself. Any advice on aftermarket struts would be appriciated.

tokico d-specs with some lowering springs. total cost will be a little under $800 if you do the install yourself. that is a very easy job also so no worries.

if your gonna lower it you need an adjustable pan hard, and tougher camber plates (aka strut mount plates) highly recommended when lowering our S197's. Im getting hte tokico d specs with the eibach pro kit in the spring along with lower control arms.

Thanks for the input y'all and thanks for the welcome Zippee No plans at the moment to lower it - just hoping to get it to sound like a new car instead of an old beatup truck that it sounds like now. To answer s3c's question - bought it new in July. The struts aren't messed up but the TSB indicates that the mounting hardware and upper strut mounts are suspect. I figured if I'm going to go to the trouble of changing those, I might as well install better struts at the same time. Thanks again.

so i'm guessing you aren't going to lower it. if you have the plan for the future you might as well do it when replacing your struts. of course the job is pretty simple

check the front swaybar mount, mine came loose and sounded like a loud popping sound when i went over bumps, brought it to the dealership and after them changing the struts, mounts, and mounts again, then they found the swaybar was loose
