I haven't personally, but I have seen guys here who do. You're looking at an increase of about 400 rpm on the highway in 5th gear.

yeah that just seems too high for a DD i think 3.73's will be sufficient enough for what i do

im not worried about the MPG im worried about the engine RPM being constantly that high all the time cuz of the gears and if that will shorten the life of my engine??

For me, 2500 rpm @ 70mph is not that high. Think back to the days before cars had O/D. They ran higher than that.
You're not going to be wearing things out any quicker, and besides, if you are modding your car, you're going to be pounding on it. And if you're pounding on it, well then, to me, anyway, longevity kind of becomes less of an issue, doesn't it? lol |

My car is a daily driver. 4.10's w/spydershaft noticebly quicker off the line, run through the gears much quicker to reach top end speed using fifth gear more effectively. Am I happy with my mods? I got 52,000 miles on my car in 1 1/2 years. FTW

Yeah it has it's moments...especially in the winter (see my bad week thread in the pic section lol)
But, I love where I live, it's a gorgeous area surrounded by lakes, but there is no good work here. And I have a great job. And my wife runs a business out of the house, and would have to start all over...and I have a child in grade 12. So a move of that distance would be pretty intense for them. So, I make the drive, once a week. It's not as bad as it sounds, especially in a new Mustang GT.
