My New Beauty To A Beast...
OK i am a PROUD owner of a new alloy metallic auto gt. i have a little money to spend on mods. i want to stay n/a and from what i have seen from these threads a cia/tune seems to be the way to start off. Just wondering if it is really the night and day difference that i want for the money???
ps. i have always been a GM man but you guys on these forums sold me on the s197 stang! |

Or JLT CAI. it gets the same numbers as a C&L but is cheaper.

CAI and tune will give your round 18-20whp. probably shave .1-.2 seconds off your 1/4mile, depending on how good you can drive.

put the CAI and tune with some lowers and upper and you should be mid 13's. this will be under a grand total. yes the cai and tune will be a very very large difference. you'll grin all over again. that is if you wait till the initial grin wears off.

that's a good idea. i had very good service from doug. he is sometimes a little slow at answering emails, but he will answer. i'd say usually within a few days max. if i were you make sure you get at the very least the race tune. if you travel a lot you might consider getting one of them in the 91 octane tune unless that is all you have there anyway

I wouldn't run the race tune with an auto because Doug says that just being gentle with the gas could bark the tires. I would get a 93 torque and performance tune, then the 93 race for the strip.

Live near the Big Easy..but I've been an Aggie dad for 7-8 years. Visit College Station often as I can. Even drove the stang there in April.
