UDP's

So i'm being told that I have to ake off my UDP'S when I install my procharger. Anyone know why we have to do this? Is anyone running S/C's with UDP's on?

That's because then the supercharger gets underdriven if you leave it on.

okay...that makes sense...couldint you just undersize the charger pully to compensate??

I think you can. However, if you want to swap for a even smaller pulley later you might not be able to or you would have swap the regular balancer back in.

Also the gain from a smaller pulley will outweigh the gain from an underdrive pulley, so you're better off ditching the udp when the procharger gets installed.

trade someone for stock pulleys plus a little cash..

oh well I still have my stock ones...I keep all my original stuff. Mufflers LCA ETC...thanks though, good idea.
