Safe To Say? (Heavy Wheels)

Would it be safe to say that any power that I lost when adding those heavy 20'' wheels I could gain back by adding an aluminum driveshaft?

yes and yes......they don't loose that much though. i think the shaft would give you more than the wheels take away

Traction is kinda a loss with the 20's but I like the look. Got to get the driveshaft!

I've got Weld 20" wheels which weigh about 10lbs extra a corner, much of which can be attributed to the wider 275 tires if truth be told - no-one ever thinks about the weight of the tyre do they?

40lbs extra on a blown Mustang is a travesty and 470 lbs on a GT500 is OK......yeah right.

Most mods have a weight penalty - strut braces, lower braces. If you're worried about these variations, throw away the mufflers and save 35lbs.
