Lighting

I know it's stupid, but does anyone know how I can change the dash lights? I heard Ford produced a dash kit which allows you to change the color, but it was hard enough for me to get my dealer to install the ambient lighting in my GT.

I'd really like the blue backlights. The green kind of annoyes me.

Is this just a case of me taking it to a shop and telling them to put in some blue bulbs?

And what about HID bulbs for the headlamps?

its called "mycolor" option and I forget how to change it...its in your owners manual I believe.....its in the menu i believe

i just play with the 3 button on the right side til its say my color on the dash lol.

Hit Info till you see a few colors then hit reset till you find the color you want...

i had it set for blue for awhile but it just didn't seem quite right so i switched back to red...red is badass IMO...and switch your headlights to Silvannia Silverstars they are bright as hell...no need for HID's you'll just be blinding people

I went out to my car, but I don't know which button changes the gauges... I have an 08 GT. I thought MyColor was an option though?

I'll check my owner's man when I get home, cause I hate that green backlight...

you only have the mycolor feature with the interior upgrade package...+1 to 06GTMustang89, swap headlights and fogs out with Sylvania Silverstars, most people dont see the difference, but once night falls you can see they are MUCH whiter

Yeah, damn dealer didn't give me the upgrade that I wanted, so I don't have the MyColor... Bastards. They even left off the hood scoop I wanted. Come to think about it, I didn't even get the color I wanted! And I dropped 15 g's on that car...

no the interior upgrade was an option on 07's also with the my color feature...i'm almost sure of it

I have an '07 and don't have mycolor

I was pissed when i found out i didn't have it. I thought all the new mustangs had it, so i didn't think to look when i bought my car.

Bleh... Red gauges, + red redline, + red ponter = WAYYYYYYYYYY to much red... al the other colors, except orange are good though.

I have mine set to light blue

Yea, I had thought all the 07+ had it standard...I bought the most basic GT I could find on the lot, and it had it with it, very strange. To find it, you need to click the middle of the three buttons two times (I forget what they labeled the buttons as, think it goes Info Setup Reset ???), then hit the reset button to cycle through the dash colors. My color changes based on my mood usually, a cycle between green, red, blue, and custom mycolor.
