Need Help With Geting Rims 17's Or 18's

Hi My Name Is Nuno, And I Currently Own A 2007 Mustang Gt.
Current Mod List:
Slp Exhaust System
C&l Cold Air Induction System (polished)
Super Chips Performance Programer
Bbk Shorty Tuned Headers (ceramic)
Hurst Competition Plus Shifter

so now I Want More Traction But I Dont Know If I Get A 18 Inch Rim Will It Damage My Car Or Should I Stay With The Stock 17 Inch Rim. So If You Have Any Suggestions Please Let Me Know Which Rims And Sizes Are The Best For My Car...

if you want the BEST traction jus the some MT drags. if you want looks and great traction get 18's and nitto or BFG drags. if you want all looks and alright traction get 20's on the MOFO.

if I Get 18's Will It Change Or Slow My Car Down Because I Was Told That In No Way I Should Put 18's Or Any Higher Then 17's But There Is No Deep Dish Wheels For 17's That Intrest Me So Will It Damage The Car Or Not
thank You

you can easily fit up to a 20x10wide wheel on your car and have absolutely no problems. whomever told you 17 was the biggest was completely and totally incorrect. that is 10" wide in the rear. i think a 9.5" wide is about all you can get in the front.

buywheelstoday.com is where i got my konigs from. i had absolutely no problems with them and they were the cheapest out of every place i found. i looked over the net for a couple weeks for the best deal

18" wheels are a factory option on S197's, so, no, it won't damage you car.

I love my 18"'ers!

They just look good! Plus: They definitely aren't hurting the car at all. It hauls!

stock is 8.5 or at least mine are 18x8.5 and they put a 235 on it when all tire places recommend a 255 i think its bullshit.

I would only put a 255 in the front and a 275 maybe a 285 in the rear with a 9.5...

Nuno my factory rims are 18" x 8.5". So yes you can fit an 18 on there.

However if you are looking for traction, it's not the diameter of the tire that determines traction. It's the width of the tire & the type of tire that determines traction.

18 inch rim on my 07:

18's are heavy no matter what brand they are...itll add weight to yur car and slow it down a little. but itll increase yur traction n takeoff...suggestions:front 18" 9...and rear 18" 10.5

You measure from the bead of the rim for rim width, not from the outer edge of the rim.
