well can't say i have removed one from this car as i won't have mine till december. all the cars i have taken them off though you have to take off all the pieces that are screwed into the door itself (IE: the door latch cover). There are also usually plastic retainers that you pry off, you can use a screw driver for these but i wouldn't advise it on your new car. really i would get the tool made to remove them. like i said though i've never taken off one from this model.

Here are some directions to remove the door panel.
1) Remove the sail panel (on the drivers side you have to disconnect the harness for the mirors) 2) Pry off the cover behind the door release handle, and remove (1) torx T30 screw 3) Pry off the cover behing the door pull handle, and remove (1) torx T30 screw 4) Pry up the power options switch panel, disconnect wiring harness and remove. 5) Remove (8) philips screws from sides and bottom of door panel. 6) Pry off and remove power switch housing. Remove (1) 7mm screw. 7) Lift door panel, disconnect wiring harness and door release cable to remove. |
