SCT Question

If you buy a used SCT xcal 2. It has to be unlocked right. If so how does it become locked and how could you unlock it. Is there a code or something? What do you need to ask the seller for? Thanks

if the tuner is locked you have to send it to sct to get it unlocked.. it costs around $150.00 to do so.
the tuner is locked unless the owner of the car returns his car to it's stock tune.

If the car was not flashed back to stock it will have to be unlocked by SCT at a cost of $150, VMP offers this service to customers through our website.

If the vehicle was returned to stock, it will still need to be unlocked, but this can be done at home on your PC with live load 3 from the SCT Flash Devices - MORE Power . . . Period! website.
