Can we maybe combine all the Knight Rider threads into one and sticky it until the show starts, then let it fade away?
![]() Every time I see a new thread it gets my hopes up that the show's important people finally got down from their unknown chemical high and deleted the rear wing and side scoops....

The scoops and wing are only used in special, necessary circumstances. Didn't you see the "super pursuit mode" in the last season of the original series? It looked rediculous, but was only used to keep the car stable when going 300+. (Which those who know about the old F-body design actually debunked since the F-body was actually designed to withstand 300 MPH, making the extra panels and such un-necessary.

![]() Oh, I'm sure they had a reason for it in their contrived fictional world... but probably had more to do with desired target audience designations than real world physics. I'd think a nose that shifted into a vaguely aerodynamic shape in order to counter the reverse-bohemian parachute design of the front grill would have made more sense and looked as ridiculous as a double wing... but not more so. I think a car that could hit 300 would have more lift in front than in back anyway - would be like a racing catamaran - one bump and the thing'd flip thirty feet into the air.

Has anyone else seen the clips on NBC and noticed that the instrument panel looks a little too much like a regular Mustang GT's? In other words, I don't think they are using the actual KR........

"KITT" is an automatic. The KR isn't. So they're dressing up GT's to look like KR's so that KITT will be automatic, not to mention the benefit of money savings.
