What Tires

What a good tire that is wider than stock and has similar diameter? I have the stock 17x8 wheels.

I know the Nitto 555s are good, as are the BFG KDWII. The only problem is that when you go wider than the stock size the overall diameter shrinks significantly, so I want wider but close to stock diameter for looks and so it doesn't throw the speedo off.

you could always have the stock rim widened?
you want to keep the stock rim, but have wider tires dunno what to do bout that, but i do know of a place that widens the rim in indiana that does REALLY good welds and arent to bad with price, the $$ may get you in the shipping there and back if your interested i could try and find the link again.

you could go either 285 or 275/45/17... that would be about the same diameter as stock. they would both fit on the stock rim

Yeah I was thinking about that. I'd love to get some new rims but don't have the dough right now, but I'm gonna need new tires soon, so....
