If he did get a light I would assume it would be a random misfire code...

I have the same system, never had such problem. Did you purchase a complete kit? Cantune or dynotune? If it’s a cantune you may have a corrupted file.
I’m with Chris get on the phone with the tuner.

The coils are not that bad compared to a 3v motor that has a good amount of miles on it with stock plugs. The metal sleeve that goes way down in the cylinder gets rusted after a while and then it makes it a pain in the a@# to get the plugs out.

I've seen 5 or 6 guys on this forum who have had to replace at least 1 (one guy had 6 bad coils) COP since they got their 3V's...made me think mine were shot too...not the case, but stuff like that sticks in my head in case I need it later...

I can tell you all about shitty plugs too! LOL!! There's a reason I went back to stockers...

Not necessarily...however I went through about $700 worth of Autolites that went to crap after a few misfires, and the Motocrafts are still running strong. I've had Ford techs tell me that these cars don't like aftermarket plugs, and I can't help but agree. I know most people run the Autolites without a problem or maybe they just don't recognize when they have a problem...I'm not saying you have to run stock plugs, nor do I recommend the stock heat range above 10 psi, but I still have yet to have a problem or have the ECU pull timing due to detonation since I went back to stockers. When I up the boost, I'm gonna try those silver-whatever plugs...the ones with the standard style grounding strap in a colder heat range, because the risk of a hot tip igniting the fuel mix is too great. Just information, you have to try things and if something works for you, then great, let me know how you got the combination to work. I'll personally never go back to the HT0's.
