Spydershaft Rubbing On Tri-ax Shifter

it sounds and feels like the driveshaft are making contact under hard acceleration. when the car squats it has a rubbing sound coming from under the shifter, and i can feel it in the shifter when i hear the noise.

anyone else have this problem? how did you fix it?

Do you still have the stock upper control arm?
I want to say I read somewhere that a few people were having problems with the stock UCA, switched to the adjustable UCA and it ended their problems.
they claim it was due to the flex of the rear end under pressure.

Are there any marks on your drive shaft indicating something hit it? I bought the BMR adjustable UCA and it works fine. On my car, when I firt put my blower on and launched it, the driveshaft made contact with a piece of metal in the drive shaft tunnel. I "fixed" it my molding the metal. Later, I got the UCA. Likely that would have fixed it. I don;t know if any of this helps, but it's what I did.

Mine rubs upon hard launches or hard braking. Seems to be hitting the Exhaust on decell when hitting the brakes hard and on the hard one in a while launch it must be rubbing the UCA.
I am putting the Steeda Billit NA Lowers and a Adjustable upper control arm. Should cure the problem.
yeah John I've heard about that a few times from different people. other than the saleen short throw adapter I've not heard of any shifter clearance problems with the driveshaft itself just the loops.
BJ..just wondering a little about the car, d/s loop? if so what type? does it happen in every gear? are there any marks on the driveshaft? (also look at the rubber boot covering the slip joint on the driveshaft cause the shifter arm is in this area). if so where are they? have you upgraded any of the rear suspension other than the springs? if you have a stock UCA with that much power it's probably just rotating the rear end housing too much and making contact when you are under hard acceleration.
call or email if you need anything.
straight from the makers fingers, i will put my control arms and pan hard bar on this week
