For starters, do you have any mods?

if not

I suggest you get a CAI + tune, specifically a JLT CAI + SCT and Bamachips tunes
Its 525+ shipping, but its worth it.
05-08 Mustang GT JLT Intake and Xcalibrator 3 COMBO 05-06 Mustang GT JLT Intake and Xcalibrator 2 COMBO [JLTX2GTCOMBO] - $525.00 : Bamachips, The Mustang Tuning Source

you can also get a U/D pulley that will free up some power
2005 2006 2007 MUSTANG GT STEEDA UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS

You can also get some 4.10 for about 500 including instalation, it doesn't add HP, but it makes the car accelerate quicker.

I am really torn between 2 intakes... MMR and WMS ( http://www.wmsracing.com/pgi-customlistproducts?05%20Mustang%20Intake,2,157,=,0 5mustang,&,159,=,intake )

As for tuners I really dont understand them... If I buy one can i down load tunes onto it from the internet or do I have to buy the tune from a Tuner which there are none located around me... And i dont know Jack about custom tuning myself...

I haven't heard a thing about the WMS or MMR, I know that the best are the C&L and the JLT CAI's. When you order the CAI and SCT combo you are sent 3 custom tunes (or canned tunes) (bamachips only, brenspeed sends you 1 tune) already loaded in the tuner, you just flash it into the computer and done, you don't have to custom tune anything (unless you want to kill the car)

for the mac headers, $460
MAC : Lethal Performance
seems to be about the lowest price. i'm looking at the macs too except with catted prochamber, theres a guy on here who says he dyno tested the macs vs the jba lt's and they pulled the exact same #s, so it seems like a pretty good deal

I would do tune and gear first, it may cost 1k but will make a big difference, +2 on the JLT CAI its only 200 bucks but you need the tune or you'll throw a code. cmc deletes, and underive pulleys and a different midpipe such as a x pipe or prochamber wil help alot also.

First off if you get LTs and a midpipe your going to need a tuner anyways. Might as well go ahead and do the intake and tuner package first then down the road look at the exhaust. For LTs and a midpipe your looking at a pretty penny purchasing and having them installed, might not fit your budget...

Tuners arent as scary as you think...they just plug into your ecm and its all step by step...and you WILL need one for pretty much any power modding you do as stated above....Get a CAI Tuner combo FIRST you wont be dissapointed. Or you can go with a K&N CAI...it doesint require a tune but you leave alot of HP on the table by not tuning it....by the way Yes I did tune my CAI with my predator.

Ok thanks guys... I can install Lts as long as I dont need to raise the engine or the pipes dont hit anything like I have heard some brands do... As for Cold air I have heard the best increases in horse power with the WMS without tune and MMR with tune... Just the WMS costs $450 without a tuner... I just want a 93 oct tune and something to manage the LTs with when I get them...

Any guys here Know of any tuners in the Upstate NY area???

The K&N doesn't change the inlet size, which is why it can work without a tune.

If you scroll down too almost the bottom of the page 2005-2007 Mustang Parts
Those are MMR intakes...

About the WMS I heard it from the company and from somone who bought the intake... I think I might just got with a RED MMR... I know I cant believe what the sites say about their product but I saw a guy with a MMR and he was happy with it...

If your increasing your air flow, you will need to retune. Call any tuner and they will tell you the same.

You'll need to turn off your rear O2 sensors.
