I wouldn't put more than 460rwhp. They can take more than 430, as long as you have an excellent tune.

they don't recommend it because they have a lot of belt slip issues when they try running some boost through it, plus that magnacharger is an hEATON based design(ROOTS) so it isn't very efficient.

The article had nothing to do with belt slippage or the type of charger being used. The consultant clearly felt that 430hp was the max number that he felt was unquestionably safe. That's not to say that 500hp isn't safe on any particular car. I think what he meant was that beyond 430, the safety factor is out of your hands and more at the mercy of unknowable flaws present in any large chunk of metal. If the alloy in your crank was mixed more thoroughly than mine, if yours cooled more evenly, your crank will take more HP than mine. Same for the rods, pistons, etc..

I think!!!

i am sorry, i miss read the post and thought it was in reference to there supercharger, i did a lot of reading and waiting for there supercharger and was planning on getting it till i seen it and talked to someone that used to work there. he told me that for what i eventually wanted to end up with there ste up wasn't gonna cut it.

i think 450 rwhp is the limit for 06+ 3v's

the more timing, air, and fuel you can get into the motor the more horsepower, my car only makes 427 rwhp at 16 degrees of timing, yet with 23 degrees it makes 466 rwhp, that was proven on back to back runs on the dyno with the same tune except we put 7 degrees of timing into the car and and picked up 39 rwhp from 7 degrees of timing
Absolutely correct and when I can't put out more HP then the motor can handle due to the temp I'll get interested. All I'm saying is that it has no bearng here because the whipple easily makes more HP then the motor can take. The Whipple is extremely effecient just compare a 10psi motor on KB to a 10psi motor on KB. If you can show me significant difference then it matters.

it doesn't mean much in the lower boost applications, 8-15 psi. but when you start running 20-25 psi. it does make a difference.

but there are no significant differences, both have the best intercooling systems for the twinscrew superchargers

Either the Whipple or KB kit would be badass, but I wouldn't push more the 9psi on stock internals.
