New Hood and Hood Pins

Well,

I just got her back from the body shop this morning. No stripes for three weeks.

They painted and installed the hood and blended in the fenders. Then they clear coated the fenders. While they were at it they installed Shelby Hood pins. I like them but I have to readjust them since they placed the pins in the wrong direction. The hood appears to have more of a slope than the standard hood did but I like it.

The side stripes and hood stripes go on in three weeks. In the meantime, here are the items I am doing:

Carbon Fiber Air Bag Piece to match the rest of the dash.
Lower Mesh Grill
New Strut Tower Brace.

Boy.....there's a lot to do when you're on vacation from work.

Pastor, very nice..

Are you sticking with those skinny stripes? I ask because when you run them over the eleanor hood they look really small because of the width of the bump out in the hood. If the skinny stripes are vinyl, you may want to think about having them pulled and go with a 9" or 10" wide stripe.. Just a thought.

Lastly by pins being wrong way do you mean they put the pin holes facing front to back? If so it's a simple fix to turn them 90 degrees for a side to side placement which will level out the pin much better once inserted.

Car looks great, don't see too many people changing the appearance of a Roush car by me.

Yeah, they oriented them front to back. I've already changed them. Wasn't that big of a deal. I'm actually thinking about pulling the stripes and putting new ones on.

These are 8" stripes. I'm thinking about 10" stripes and a thin stripe beside it.

Another Roush owner from another forum made a few and sold them for cost. I think I can find his email if you are interested.

should've had them painted at the same time as the rest of the job. i do agree with going wider. here are mine at 14 inches wide.

It was $400 to prime and paint the hood, install it and blend in the fenders.
