pypes mid-muffler cat back. I think its hands down the best sounding with an x-pipe! It also doesn't cost that much.

I have the gta's. They are not raspy with the x pipe at all. the car actually sounds deeper than it did before. I was worried about it sounding raspy but it doesnt. I started to form a theory that the free'er flowing and or louder a muffler is maybe the raspier it will sound with an x pipe. I dont know if this is true or not. I have heard cars with the borla stingers with catted x-pipe and it wasnt raspy either, they are a little louder than mine.

This is a tough topic because the right sound is a subjective thing. There are tons of sound clips floating around on the forums of all different setups. That might be a good place to start. Hearing them in person is obviously the best if possible.

They get that popping sound when you slow down. Thats why Gunny took the x-pipe off of his Borlas.

i love that sound on the new edges mine does it when its cold, not when its warm. Also i have an auto so when i get off the throttle my car upshifts thinking i'm going to cruise when in reality there is a stop sign up ahead lol

Yeah, go to a car show. Videos really don't help much. It's all about what you want. Borla, Bassani, Mac, SLP are all good. Borla and Bassani are expensive. Mac, SLP you can get for 330.00 plus tax. KEEP YOUR CATS!!!!!! If you are thinking about a new midpipe.

Damn, I think Redfire is stalking me....Yeah the Bassani looked like a real good product (and I still believe they are, just not with the setup I had). The O/R X with Stingers sounded like ass. Very raspy. I called Bassani about it and they said they are not intended for use with Borla (translated....deal with it). They offered to sell me the high flow cats and I accepted. With the cats, it sounded much beter, but still too raspy. I sold the whole set on eBay. Others will likely say it sounds great as it is extremelly subjectiv. The Pypes O/R H pipe works well with the stingers (and stock mufflers) and other axel backs. I've also heard good success with Prochamber. The link below is very helpful and has a lot of links. Check it...
