Pull down into first....floor it and bang up one or twice depending on moddel to shift to next gear....it has a neutral and reverse lock out so you cant screw up...no matter how hard you mash it it will only go up one gear at a time....they are cool.

That lever above it is to take it out of park and back into park i believe...as well as reverse...

don't see much use shifting yourself, the tranny does a pretty good job on it's own.

Ya its an old technology...not sure why they would bring it back...but it does make auto's more fun...I loved my B&M ratchet I had on my old Monte carlo!
