FRPP Supercharger and CAI

Getting ready to put the FRPP 500HP supercharger kit on next week, does this come with a CAI or is this something extra I need to purchase. Currently using the C&L racer with Sniper Tuning but I know that is not compatable, any thoughts or idea's on a CAI that will work.

Thanks

I believe it comes with everything you need. Its an awesome, complete kit. Lets us know how you like it. I am still on the fence about getting a KB or Whipple kit.

You should be able to tune it with the Sniper software just fine

The FRPP kit comes with a canned tune for it.

I personally don't like relying on pre-set tunes like that...Every car is different and everyone lives under different altitudes, humidities, and other conditions. Basically, every vehicle needs its own tune...No two cars are the same you know...

I'd use that tune just to get me to the shop and geta nice dyno tune..

Thats what I ment. Nothin beats a dyno tune, but the FRPP canned tune is very conservative so you could run that without a problem.

You'll be ok with the canned tune for awhile if you have to, but a dyno and good tuner will make a heck of a diff. I s/c my F150 and ran the tune for a little while. I thought it was lean and when it was tuned there was huge diff. I'm thinkin gof that HO kit or the KB for my stang too.

whipple s/c

i had mine installed on my 07 about 2 mos ago, but remember "what goes in must come out", so a set of shorty headers, x pipe and hi po mufflers also were installed along with a set of 4.10s. only prob now is keeping it off the rev limiter and straight untill 3rd gear, but thats the fun, right? ford sends a form with the kit asking every aspect of your car, gears, wheel and tire size and so on. you send it back and they send you a flash. takes 5 days so send it as soon as you open the box. good luck and have fun.

Thanks for all the help, I will order the kit next week and send off to Ford for the tune, in the mean time I can tune it with the Sniper Software I have. I will have to drive the car to Phoenix for the Dyno, about 130 miles but its all freeway. About how much should I expect to pay for the Dyno.

it all depends on the tuners price and much there willing to work with you. Tuned my bros Sti, it was 250 for a tune, which included an hour or so on the dyno and a road tune to make sure the car was street driveable and not a rough ride. And now if he brings it back to that same tuner he only has to pay like 65 or so for the dyno and the tuner will alter the tune as well. But like i said its all about the type of people your going to work with, make sure there a reputable tuner as well, you dont want a tune from joe smoes dyno shop, and they end up welding your pistons to the cylinder walls.

The kit comes with it's own CAI. (normally)
I will jum in and High jack the thread for a second. My C&L CAI Street that I have on my 07 GT has about 200 miles on it ( my wife and me only use the car for weekend cruising) Is going to be up for sale after the 18 th when my Whipple is being installed if any of you are looking for one or know someone looking for this intake.
