Replacing Valve/Cam Covers

Exactly how difficult is it to remove/install your valve covers? I'm wanting to do a little dress up on the engine and wanna know what I'm getting myself into here.

Has anybody replaced theirs with the powdercoated sets? I've thought about buying another OEM set and just painting them in my free time so there's no downtime on my baby. Is it a bad idea to do a swap?

As usual, any thoughts and experience is welcome.

It's pretty straight forward. The passenger side is a PITA due to the battery tray. I kind of short cut it by cutting a small tab off mine as opposed to removing the battery and tray. Here is a link with some directions.
