Stock 06 Mustang GT, Looking For Help On What To Buy/Upgrade

Well I tried to put as much info in the subject as possible but, I've had my mustang for alittle over a year now and I'm ready to begin the process of tuning it. Currently it is running on all stock parts, nothing upgraded or replaced since I orignally bought it. If anyone has some suggestions or tips on what to buy and preferably what the part(s) would upgrade, the cost, and possibly rate the difficulty of installing the part from 1-5 where 1 is low time and fairly easy and 5 being reccomend having part installed at a mechanic's garage. So yeah, haha get back to me anyone

What's your spending limit?

What are your priorities?

What are you looking for first, appearance or performance.

Let's put those in order of importance and then get out the credit card. We are going shopping.

Some people on here including me will say that the best bang for your buck is new rear end gears. Now if you have never done them before I would highly recomend you have somebody install them for you. I also recomend going with the 4:10's
Another quick easy mod is to install a CAI (cold air intake) many different manufacturers for this so shop around to get a good deal. This is a very easy do it yourself job.
Another easy one is an axle back exhaust. again there are multiple companys that make these so shop around. they are very simple to install. Almost all exhaust stuff is simple to do except headers. not that they are real difficult they are just more time consuming. Depending on how skilled you are and what resources you have available you can either go with long tube or shorty headers. shortys bolt right up to the factory H pipe.
Another one which can be a little costly but is simple is to get a custom tune, you can get the SCT Xcal 2 or Diablo, with a tune and all you have to do is plug it into the computer port under the dash and upload the program. For even better resaults you can find a shop around you and put it on the dyno and get a custom tune that way. that will cost more.
If you have a lot of money and want instant power go with a supercharger. From what I've heard on here take the price of the part and double it and that will be around how much you might have to spend to have it installed correctly.
Like Bish said it really depends on what you are looking for, SHOW or GO and what you budget is. Once you answer those questions there will be plenty of people on here willing to help you out.

.

I definately want Performance as top priority. Parts that would increase performance and make the car run better are ideal. As for the spending limit I'm looking at about 5k - 7k so what are we looking at? On a side note about looks, if there is a cool body kit out there that you could reccomend let me know since my birthday is coming up and I'm hoping to get my dad to buy me some parts and my mom to get me a body kit.

would consider full exhaust with longtube headers... then go with a roots style supercharger kit like the kenne bell which will put you around 450hp+

Totally the way to go with that kind of cash is the Charger, KB, Novi, or pro Charger.
If you do go with this awesome mod you should also go with a good set of LT headers such as, Kooks, JBA, Stainless works.
With That combo You would be Scary Fast!
