tuner without cai


i received my tuner today from bamachips but not my jlt cai. how will my car run if i just install the tune?

May run lean, Also may throw codes because correct air flow won't be recognized.

I would think it would run rich if anything... The tune will tell it there is more air coming in that their really is so it will fatten up the amount of fuel going in. so with less air and more fuel = Rich...

u can use the tuner just dont use the JLT tune, take the stock tune and play with the parameters, but it would be a smarter idea to just hold up and do it all together (ull feel the more response that one)

Which tuner are you referring to? An SCT or Diablo? If SCT which version XCal2 or X3? If it is a custom tune with only 1 program on it I wouldn't recommend messing with it. If it is the new X3 the original pre programmed tunes should be in it along with the custom tune and you can load one of the pre programmed tunes with no issues.
