That is one of the best I have ever seen and I see 20-30 Mustangs a month on the job. I agree with the comment on the silver accent. 2 thumbs bro! I have not been a fan of hood pins but yours are tastefully understated and fit the overall look to a tee.

Hey Emay, a couple questions. How much are the pins (those are Shelby ones, no?), and will they fit in my existing FRPP holes?

Thanks for all the props everyone-

Zip those are the Shelby pins without the shelby insignia. Shelby pins are truthfully a Scott Drake product if anyone cared to know. The pin overall is no different than any other pin. Same diameter as the FRPP pins I have installed for numerous others. Using your same hole locations should not be a problem.

The only thing I think could be a hang up is that the scuff plate mounting screws ( the 4 screws that hold it to the hood ) could be in different positions than your FRPP ones. Thus leaving you to pin hole the hood a few more times. I'd hope they stayed with a common layout so people could transition over easily if they liked these.

I will say this, these things are a serious quality piece, I've probably installed 10 sets of pins to date for local guys and nothing comes close to the design of these.

I'll be pulling mine off tomorrow for a wet sand and buff of the car on Sunday, if you want different pics or for me to measure the scuff plate holes on a diagonal I can do that for you. Maybe solidfy that purchase..

Thanks for the information on these. I may look at replacing mine with these units. Did you purchase them directly from the Shelby website?

Zip, I'll definately get some pics of the wet sand..

Another thing I forgot to mention is the shelby pins have a rubber gasket under that scuff plate which keeps the mounting area from contacting anything. It also sort of seals the hole from allowing water to come through the pins surrounding area because it is condom like in fitting around the pin.. Really nice set up especially for 94.00 and 10%off.. If the code works..

Yes, me am want those. I think I shall not never unpurchase those.

Sorry. That sentence is beyond ridiculous. I'm going to buy those pins for sure this spring, and have them on when I get my vinyl stripes replaced with paint.
