Couple shots

Here's a couple pics of the new hood mounted and pins installed. Sorry there wasn't much room in front of the car to get a distance shot. Maybe get one tomorrow.

Well, like we talked about in the other thread, I used my tripod, set my aperature to blur out some of the back ground but keep the foreground sharp (that made the hood sort of the focal point), and an iso of 100 off of a remote (to avoid any touching of the camera for shake or blur)

Those were takin with my Canon Rebel XTI with the kit lens.

Thanks for the props, those were just real quick shots, if I had some time I could have really given you some pics to google over..

As I said before, photography has become a big hobby of mine, almost as much of a hobby as the car is.

Emay you married? Not that I am interested. I like my wife, just wondering how to get her to let me do half the stuff you do to yours

It is metallic silver on the hood, does appear to be white under the flourescent though.

07blk, I am married, I think I got lucky and found someone that understands me and my passions. Alot of what I do with my car, becomes side work for me down the road. Met plenty of people at meets and car shows, had no intention of doing work for any of them, but after talking for a bit they ask if I can do things on their car, or stop by and help them out. I fund a lot of my parts that way which eases much tension that would likely otherwise be in the relationship. Mainly because I would do it anyway, risking angering her, just so I can do the next cool addition.

Like anyone though, we've had some rough patches and then some really rough patches. Trust me when I say you don't make surprise big ticket item purchases during those times, unless you got some headphones and a really comfortable couch.

looks really nice Emay, not quite the same aggressive demeanor of your old hood, but I actually like this new look much better on the car.

that is by FAR the nicest hood I have seen on a stang! (and I thought your old one was pretty damn sexy!)

Which hood is this again? How much and how much for the paint? Car looks absolutely stunning...

Badass Emay, love the hood and pins. Any issue with them sliding out while driving, any need to secure them? Shelby pins right?

Was going to ask about that - how do the pins secure?

And that paint job is insane - the black looks like it's liquid around the hood. Cervinis would be wise in humbly requesting (official Cervini photographer?) some of your pictures for promotional literature.

2 ways. The pin depth is adjusted so that there is some slight pressure from the hood against the pin. When inserting the pin, if the pin depth is correctly set, you actually have to push down on the hood slightly to insert the pin, and when you release the pressure, the hood & pin plate. lifts up snug against the pin.

Also the ring on the pin flips over as you can see in the picture here on my car, thus preventing the pin from coming out were it to come loose or not be adjusted properly.

Roost it's a cervini hood, their original ram air. I think they just released the Gen IV one and this is not that one, on their web site it's on a vista blue stang with white stripes.

I'm not a good example for judging cost. The guy is a friend of mine in the paint body work business. He's coming to my house Sunday for a full wetsand of the car.

He only wanted 200.00 when i went to pay my tab. I gave him 400.00 but I also have more work being done so we'll square up at some point I'm sure..
